How is CARN Conference is supporting accessible spaces by default
CARN is committed to making our event accessible for everyone. We aim to create an environment that is inclusive and welcoming.
Here is some information to help you plan your day. If you need any support or assistance on the day, please find one of our volunteers.

Our conference is held on the first floor of Te Iho, this floor is accessed by the large, curved staircase or by lift.
Access to the conference floor is controlled by speed gates with one wide speed gate suitable for most wheelchair types.
The building is wheelchair accessible through both the Bowen St and Lambton Quay entrances.
The building has large windows to allow natural light to filter through, please note some spaces in the building use warm and dim lights e.g., lift lobbies - our volunteers are available to assist you to navigate the building.
COVID and other illness precautions:
To keep all attendees safe before, during and after the conference. We ask that you remain away from the conference if you are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms.
We will provide masks for those who require them, if you have an in-person ticket and become unwell before the event, we will provide you online access to the conference.

We are committed to continually improving the accessibility of our event, and we welcome feedback from members of the disability community.
Please do not hesitate to contact CARN Conference if you have any questions, to provide specific requirements or concerns about accessibility before or during the conference.
We aim to meet all requirements by default though we may be limited by the number of requests, availability of services and limitations of the building.
To help with keeping the conference floor free from clutter and easy to move around, please do not bring large suitcases to the conference. The building does not offer any bag storage, and the CARN Conference cannot guarantee the security of suitcases left around the conference facilities.
